Shaking Hands with the Unemployed (2)

S.H.T.W.U. is an experiment in improvisational music. The backing track was done in 1992 with a Korg drum machine and a Korg Polysix keyboard. The idea was to play the song with constantly bending notes. The guitar (Mike Salimbene), bass (Ed Tracey), cymbals (Jim Sheridan) and words (Jim Sheridan) were recorded in 2016. The words were lifted in part from a Profanisaurus and Jim’s rambling mind. In fact, the Library of Congress stated that they could not copywrite the lyrics because they made no sense. No rhyme, pattern or rhythm. I like that.

Improv.
